Yesterday

The roots of the TROUVAY & CAUVIN Group go back to 1881, when TROUVAY & CAUVIN was founded in Le Havre, France, by Georges Trouvay and César Cauvin.

The company quickly developed into a recognised specialist in the supply of pipes, tubes, valves, fittings and other equipment for the oil & gas, water and construction sectors.

In the first half of the twentieth century, TROUVAY & CAUVIN concentrated its growth in France and became one of the country’s leading industrial distributors, with eight branches throughout the country.

The 1970s were a time of significant expansion in the Middle East, with the development of facilities in Saudi Arabia and the opening of offices in Qatar, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. In 1978, the Middle East offices were merged into a single company called TROUVAY & CAUVIN Gulf, based in Bahrain.

Despite the recession in the late 2000s, TROUVAY & CAUVIN overcame the difficult times and pursued its ambitious strategy of international growth by opening new offices in the USA, Thailand, France, the UK…
