Sales Engineer

Doha, Qatar

Job Purpose

The Sales Engineer is responsible to lead sales and business development efforts across the Qatar and Kuwait markets, for our Energy division. This role blends technical sales, key account management, and project coordination—focusing on Process Piping, Structural Steel and Valves. Operating across Qatar and Kuwait, with a strong focus on the Energy market, the Sales Engineer is the key to client engagement and developing sales. From generating opportunities and building client relationships to managing the full sales cycle — including sourcing, quoting, negotiating, order processing, order expediting and after‑sales support — you ensure seamless execution and sustained growth ensuring payment receipts without any claims or penalties.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Manage and grow existing key accounts across Qatar and Kuwait.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Promote the full range of Trouvay & Cauvin products and services.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and partners.
  • Secure company approvals with major clients, projects, and end‑users.

Sales Operations

  • Handle inquiries, prepare quotations, and lead techno‑commercial negotiations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to source materials and prepare offers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate proposal submissions and technical documentation.
  • Oversee order execution, shipping, and post‑sales support.
  • Resolve issues promptly while maintaining strong business relationships.

Financial & Strategic Planning

  • Contribute to annual sales budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor account performance and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments to minimize financial risk.

Quality & Compliance

  • Coordinate with Finance and Legal teams on contracts, credit, and cash flow.
  • Ensure all trading activities align with company guidelines and terms.
  • Manage and resolve client complaints efficiently.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering).
  • 5 years of experience in steel sales or key account management.
  • Background in Process Piping, Structural Steel and Valves.
  • Experience in trading or distribution companies is a plus.
  • Product Knowledge:
    • Structural Steel Plates, Seamless & Welded Tubulars, Sections, Beams
    • Process Piping: Pipes Seamless & Welded, Fittings and Flanges
    • Valves
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Customer‑focused with a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across the region.
  • Regional expertise and proven experience in the GCC market is a huge plus.
  • Familiarity with regional business practices and logistics.

Key Account Engineer

Job Purpose

The Key Account Engineer leads sales and business development efforts across the APAC region. This role blends technical sales, key account management, and project coordination—focusing on piping, structural steel, valves, and instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

Administration & Shipping Coordinators

Kochi, Kerala

Job purpose

The Administration and Shipping Coordinator is responsible for the execution and the follow-up of orders, which include:

  • Review the customer purchase orders.
  • Executes customer orders per the agreed terms.
  • Provides updates to customers via formal weekly/monthly progress reports.
  • Coordinates with overseas and local suppliers on all aspects of the scope of the order.
  • Follow up with the yard and/or suppliers for material preparation and coordinate with QC for inspection.
  • Manage the Logistics & shipping as per order requirements and in compliance with the regulations
  • Preparation of shipping documentation, including shipping invoices, packing lists, and delivery notes.
  • Prepare system-generated accounts Invoices customers (inc submission).
  • After-sales follow-up of project performance as required.

 

Knowledge and Skill requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in a technical discipline with 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position and industry,
  • Well-versed with International Commercial Terms.
  • Knowledge of Letter’s of Credit.
  • Strong planning & organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge in ERP System
  • Customer-service oriented and interpersonal skills

Inside Sales Engineer

Doha, Qatar

Job purpose

The role involves supporting Outside Sales in all aspects of sales activities and business development.

This includes liaising with management, staff, clients, suppliers, business partners, and authorities to ensure that all sales tasks, such as enquiry review, material sourcing, offer preparation, order processing, order expediting, delivery, document filing, and after-sales support, are performed in a professional and commercially sound manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship: Manage project enquiries and process orders through the company’s ERP system. Prepare quotations and offers in a timely manner, as per client requirements and company strategy. Support the sales team in technical and commercial negotiations and ensure follow-up on offers. Monitor customer accounts and resolve any order process issues.
  • Inside coordination: Provide necessary information to the sales team for sales preparation and editing. Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers, assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, and prepare cost and margin calculations. Liaise with Head Office and local Management counterparts to establish sourcing and bidding strategy.
  • Relationships with Suppliers: Select local and overseas suppliers for sourcing materials. Issue professional enquiries to suppliers, follow up on quotations, and review offers to ensure alignment with client requirements. Prepare sub-orders for group companies or external suppliers.
  • Follow-up of the sales and after-sale: Organize and monitor order deliveries involving various parties (suppliers, freight forwarders, authorities, clients) to ensure timely receipt of customer payments. Oversee shipping documents, progress reports, and vendor documentation. Monitor project performance after sales.
  • Procedures and quality: Properly file all sales documents as per company procedure. Maintain trading in compliance with company terms and liaise with the Legal Department to review contractual documents for sensitive projects or claims. Handle client complaints by taking immediate action and reporting to the QSHE Manager.

 

Knowledge and Skills requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience, preferably in a similar position and Industry.
  • Knowledge of Sale / Commerce / Trading principles
  • Knowledge of Plates, Beams, Sections / Profiles, Pipes, Fittings, and Valves used in the Energy industry and related technical specifications.
  • Tasks require attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and drive to succeed,
  • Interpersonal skills/ Customer-service orientation
  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written

Job purpose

Operating across Dubai and the Northern Emirates, with a strong focus on the Energy market, the Sales Engineer is the cornerstone of client engagement and commercial success. From generating leads and nurturing client relationships to managing the full sales cycle — including sourcing, quoting, order processing, and after-sales support — you ensure seamless execution and sustained growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationships: Actively promote the company’s products in the assigned market by conducting regular client visits, generating inquiries, and building strong relationships to drive business growth. Manage the full sales cycle—from reviewing tenders and preparing quotations and offers to negotiating terms and processing orders through the ERP system—ensuring alignment with company strategy and maximising profitability.

Inside coordination: coordinates internally by reporting market insights to the manager, preparing order reviews and margin calculations, liaising with local management during negotiations, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Relationships with Suppliers: Manage supplier relationships by professionally sourcing materials from local and international suppliers, issuing and following up on enquiries, reviewing offers for compliance, and placing sub-orders while ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.

Follow-up of the sales and after-sales: Oversee the post-sales process by coordinating deliveries with all involved parties, preparing shipping and vendor documentation, tracking payments, and ensuring project performance through detailed follow-up and reporting.

Procedures and Quality: Ensure compliance with company procedures by properly filing all sales documents and promptly addressing client complaints, reporting any technical issues to the QA Manager for resolution.

 

Key Competencies

  • Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position and sector in the UAE.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical products used in Energy sectors
  • Strong negotiation skills and Business principles knowledge Good understanding of the Company’s business, products and markets
  • Good understanding of supply process that is from inquiry to the execution phase
  • Deep understanding of projects cycle from tendering to execution phase Common Sense approach
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

Fabricator

Jebel Ali, Dubai, UAE

The Fabricator fabricate and assembles piping systems according to specific project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from isometric and fabrication drawings.
  • Check materials for fabrication if in accordance with project specifications
  • Layout, cutting, fit-up and assembly of item parts
  • Verify dimensions of assembled parts to comply with approved drawings prior to welding
  • Verify welding, alignment and final assembly of piping spools according to project specifications
  • Perform basic welding tasks using SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW methods
  • Adhere to safety regulations and quality standards in fabrication processes
  • Supports other fabricators and welders in his area of competence during training and actual work

 

Key Competencies

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in piping fabrication
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification
  • Knowledge of pipes, fittings, flanges, and valves
  • Ability to read and interpret isometric and fabrication drawings
  • Knowledge of welding techniques (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW)
  • English verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
