Forklift Operator

JAFZA, Dubai - UAE

Job Purpose

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a light forklift to move, load, and unload materials within the yard or warehouse, ensuring efficient handling and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a light forklift to transport pipes, fittings, valves, and other materials within the yard.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
  • Stack and organize materials in designated areas to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Perform daily equipment checks and report any maintenance issues.
  • Assist with general yard duties when required.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and HSE standards.

Key Competencies

  • Valid Light Forklift License (mandatory).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating forklifts in an industrial or warehouse setting.
  • Knowledge of safe material handling practices.
  • Ability to work in outdoor conditions and handle physical tasks.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Blaster Painter

JAFZA, Dubai - UAE

Job Purpose

The Blaster Painter is responsible for preparing and coating surfaces of pipes, fittings, valves, and related materials according to company standards and project specifications. This includes surface preparation through blasting and applying protective coatings to ensure durability and compliance with quality and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform abrasive blasting to clean and prepare metal surfaces for painting or coating.
  • Apply primers, paints, and protective coatings using spray machine, brush, or roller methods as per paint manufacturer recommendations and project requirements.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the company painting procedure, monitoring the activity, and reporting.
  • Ensure that the required blasting, painting & coating is carried out in accordance with the project specifications, reference standards and codes.
  • Operate and maintain blasting and painting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect surfaces and coatings for defects and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including the use of PPE and compliance with HSE guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.

Key Competencies

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Blaster Painter in industrial or yard operations.
  • Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and coating applications.
  • Ability to read and understand technical specifications and safety instructions.
  • Familiarity with blasting and painting equipment maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in industrial painting/blasting (preferred).

Yard Operations Manager

JAFZA, Dubai - UAE

Job Purpose

The Yard Operations Manager manages all aspects of TROUVAY & CAUVIN Jebel Ali yard operations and facility management and maintenance (buildings and equipment).

The Yard Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and fostering a productive work environment. He also ensures that the operational activities are aligned with the Company policies, regulatory requirements and strategic goals.

This role also requires strong expertise in steel fabrication management and hands-on experience in steel fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management: overseeing the yard operation team and supervising processes, ensuring compliance with QC and HSE standards, and optimizing resource allocation to maintain productivity and efficiency. It includes organizing and prioritizing workloads, coordinating with various departments, and managing order deliveries to meet client requirements. Additionally, it involves maintaining adequately the yard, buildings and equipment, monitoring order management systems, and managing budgetary requirements to optimize operational costs.
  • Steel Fabrication Management: Managing and supervising steel fabrication activities within the yard, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and safety protocols. This includes coordinating fabrication schedules, monitoring progress, and implementing best practices to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Procedures and Quality: ensuring that the yard operations team strictly follows all systems and procedures to maintain consistency, quality, and efficiency. This includes upholding health and safety standards for all personnel and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, it involves developing and implementing processes to enhance efficiency and productivity, as well as continuously assessing and refining workflows to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring the yard operations team to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. This includes resolving conflicts, recruiting and developing staff, conducting annual interviews with constructive feedback, and ensuring clear internal communication within the team.
  • ERP Process Control: ensuring that ERP processes are correctly implemented and providing necessary training and support to users. This includes assisting users with issues and proposing new reports or processes to continuously improve system efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Competencies

  • Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering a related field relevant to the position with at least 5 years of experience in a similar position and sector
  • Strong experience in yard operation, inventory management, facility and equipment maintenance
  • Proven experience in steel fabrication management and processes
  • Strong leadership and management abilities and maintains excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Understanding of the company’s business and markets
  • Deep knowledge of the Company’s products and services
  • Well-versed in HSE principle
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Discreet with confidential information.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems

Inside Sales Engineer (Building, Water and Infrastructure Division - BWI)

JAFZA, Dubai - UAE

Job Purpose

The role involves supporting the Outside Sales in all aspects of sales activities and business development within the Building, Water, and Infrastructure Division.

This includes liaising with management, staff, clients, suppliers, partners, and authorities to ensure that all sales tasks, such as enquiry review, material sourcing, offer preparation, order processing, order expediting, delivery, document filing, and after-sales support, are performed in a professional and commercially sound manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship: Manage project enquiries and process orders through the company’s ERP system. Prepare quotations and offers in a timely manner, as per client requirements and company strategy. Support the sales team in technical and commercial negotiations and ensure follow-up on offers. Monitor customer accounts and resolve any order process issues.
  • Inside coordination: Provide necessary information to the sales team for sales preparation and editing. Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers, assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, and prepare cost and margin calculations. Liaise with Head Office and local Management counterparts to establish sourcing and bidding strategy.
  • Relationships with Suppliers: Select local and overseas suppliers for sourcing materials. Issue professional enquiries to suppliers, follow up on quotations, and review offers to ensure alignment with client requirements. Prepare sub-orders for group companies or external suppliers.
  • Follow-up of the sales and after-sale: Organize and monitor order deliveries involving various parties (suppliers, freight forwarders, authorities, clients) to ensure timely receipt of customer payments. Oversee shipping documents, progress reports, and vendor documentation. Monitor project performance after sales.
  • Procedures and quality: Properly file all sales documents as per company procedure. Maintain trading in compliance with company terms and liaise with the Legal Department to review contractual documents for sensitive projects or claims. Handle client complaints by taking immediate action and reporting to the QSHE Manager.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Mechanical Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience, preferably in a similar position and Industry.
  • Knowledge of Sale / Commerce / Trading principles.
  • Knowledge of Pipes, Fittings, and Valves used in the Building, Water, and infrastructure industry and related technical specifications.
  • Tasks require attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and drive to succeed.
  • Interpersonal skills/ Customer-service orientation.

Fabricator

Jebel Ali, Dubai, UAE

The Fabricator fabricate and assembles piping systems according to specific project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from isometric and fabrication drawings.
  • Check materials for fabrication if in accordance with project specifications
  • Layout, cutting, fit-up and assembly of item parts
  • Verify dimensions of assembled parts to comply with approved drawings prior to welding
  • Verify welding, alignment and final assembly of piping spools according to project specifications
  • Perform basic welding tasks using SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW methods
  • Adhere to safety regulations and quality standards in fabrication processes
  • Supports other fabricators and welders in his area of competence during training and actual work

 

Key Competencies

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in piping fabrication
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant qualification
  • Knowledge of pipes, fittings, flanges, and valves
  • Ability to read and interpret isometric and fabrication drawings
  • Knowledge of welding techniques (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW)
  • English verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
