EcoVadis, pioneers in sustainability assessment and benchmarking, is a globally recognized platform operating under French law with a clear purpose of helping companies gain deep insights into their sustainability performance across operations and supply chains. Since its inception in 2007, EcoVadis has emerged as the world’s largest and most trusted sustainability rating provider, assessing over 100,000 companies globally.
We are proud to announce that TROUVAY & CAUVIN Gulf FZCO has been awarded the EcoVadis Bronze Medal, a testament to our commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
The EcoVadis scorecards offer user-friendly tools for identifying actionable insights, providing detailed assessments of our environmental, labour, human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement risks. This recognition reflects our unwavering dedication to enhancing our daily operations through sustainable practices. As we strive to improve our ratings, we continue working in that direction to make a positive impact in our community and beyond.
In early 2023, we took a significant step towards achieving our ambitious sustainability goals by signing a contract with Yellow Door Energy (YDE) for the installation and leasing of a solar photovoltaic system at our Jebel Ali office and warehousing facility, the largest within the Group.
The 200 kWp capacity solar panel system is set to generate up to 321 MWh of solar energy annually, covering approximately 90% of the facility’s electricity needs. This move is expected to offset nearly 3,148 tonnes of carbon emissions over the system’s lifetime, making a remarkable contribution to environmental conservation.
The installation of the solar panels is now complete, and we are gearing up for the next phase of our renewable energy journey.
This initiative is a testament to TROUVAY & CAUVIN’s dedication to sustainability and innovation. As the company continues to explore and implement eco-friendly practices, it invites stakeholders to join us on this journey towards a brighter, cleaner, and more sustainable future.
